Description |
B/W image scanned from a negative of an Oliver Number 6, 20-bottom (plow blades) tractor gang plow. The photographer is standing on the deck of the gang plow. This plow was typically used for demonstrations and/or publicity for the Oliver Chilled Plow Works Company. This photograph was possibly taken on the James Oliver farm property south of West Sample Street and west of Walnut Street, looking south. In the distance is (possibly) the current site of Rum Village Park. The railroad boxcars in the distance are on tracks that belonged to the New Jersey, Indiana & Illinois Railroad. 1900 ca. |
