B/W copy of a photograph of the residence of John Mohler Studebaker (Sunnyside), 1219 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, Indiana. J.M. Studebaker (1833-1917) was one of the five Studebaker brothers who founded and built the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company carriage and wagon factory. J.M. was vice-president and, later, president of the company. The company eventually went on to become the Studebaker Automobile company. John was the only one of the original five Studebaker brothers to survive to see the company build automobiles. The image has been cut out of a local South Bend book (i.e. "South Bend and the Men Who Made It"). It is on cardstock. |
