Description |
B/W image scanned from a negative of an Oliver six-bottom (six plow blades) tractor gang plow being pulled by an unknown steam engine in an unknown location. The man standing on the platform would use the six levers to raise and lower each plow blade. This kind of plowing required two people to operate, the tractor driver and the plow operator. The more plow blades on the gang plow meant the more men you would need to raise and lower the plows.1930 ca. |
